I believe (though can not guarantee) that if its new owner continues to hydrate the guitar with a case humidifier, the seam will close even tighter. After a few weeks in the case with a Planet Waves humidifier, the wood has closed almost completely and been glued, however you can still see the seam and feel a lip with your fingernail (see the final photo). When I got the guitar the front seam was starting to separate. The back and sides show less wear than the top, and the lighter Maple hides a lot of the imperfections. The top shows tons of checking and crazing. There are lots of pickmarks and scratches throughout. With the flamed maple sides and back, the guitar is a real looker. The action is just right and does not need any sort of neck adjustment.
